I wanted to share my special healing experience with Antonia Ruhl. For those not familiar with Antonia Ruhl, she is a Brazilian born healer, shaman and extraordinary woman. I first met her when my husband and I were on a desperate journey to have a baby. We had all but abandoned hope after six years of trying to conceive. We must have seen at least ten different natural therapists (naturopaths, chinese herbalists, acupuncturists, etc). We had ten IVF cycles but nothing to show for our efforts except for a lot of emotional scars. Antonia Ruhl Amazon Fertility Program
Antonia's Amazon Fertility Program is based on tonifying the body (both male and female) with energised Amazonian Herbal Tonics. She recommends tonifying the body for four months as that is the renewal cycle of blood cells. This is designed to strengthen the body and improve both egg and sperm health. In our case we got pregnant after three months on the Amazon Fertility Program (after TTC for about six years and trying virtually everything under the sun). Antonia spent some time living in the Amazon and studying with a real Medicine Man. Amongst other things she learned how to energise herbs to increase their healing potency. BEST POSITIONS FOR CONCEPTION
The Missionary Position (man on top) has been said to be the position for conception, however their are no conclusive studies performed regarding this issue. The reason this is believed to be the best position is that it allows for the deepest penetration, getting the sperm closer to the cervix. You can also try having DH enter from behind (Doggy Style or Rear Entry) , either lying down or kneeling, this can also help to deposit sperm close to the cervix and aid conception. This is a good option for women with a tilted uterus.
After intercourse, try putting a pillow under your bottom, elevating your hips allowing for more sperm contact. Stay there for at least 30 minutes. Why make the sperm fight gravity on top of all the other obstacles it has to get through to get to where it needs to go.
Note: If you are predisposed to getting urinary tract infections and advised to go to the bathroom immediately after intercourse, do so.
